性狀(以下信息僅供參考)：棕黑色粉末，能溶于熱水，冷卻后成紅棕色溶液，稍溶于醇，并呈棕光品紅色；微溶于丙同。遇過量鹽酸生成棕紫色沉淀；在濃硝酸中呈枯桔黃色；遇氫氧化鈉呈深藍(lán)色，后變紅色，溶于濃硫酸成藍(lán)黑色溶液，稀釋后生成棕色沉淀。水中溶解度（90℃）為25g/L。染色時(shí)遇銅、鐵時(shí)色光影響較大。
