背景介紹：Musashi1 (Msi1) is an RNA-binding protein expressed in neural progenitor cells and neural stem cells. Msi1 is the mammalian homolog of Drosophila Musashi. The gene encoding human Msi1 encodes a 362 amino acid protein. In murine embryonic neural progenitor cells, Msi1 localizes to the cytoplasm and is downregulated during differentiation. Msi1 binds to NUMB, which encodes a membrane-associated antagonist of Notch signaling. Msi1 appears to function in the proliferation and maintenance of stem cell populations of the central nervous system. In addition to its usefulness as a marker for neural progenitor cells in normal human brains, Msi1 is also a marker for human gliomas. In rats, Msi1 is expressed in Sertoli cells of the testis and granulosa cells of the ovary.

1.陽性細胞染色分布有三種類型：細胞漿、細胞核、細胞膜表面。大部分抗原見于細胞漿，可見于整個胞漿或部分胞漿

2.陽性細胞分布可分為灶型和彌漫性

3.由于細胞內含抗原量不同，所以染色強度不一。如果細胞之間染色強度相同，常提示其反應為非特異性

4.陽性細胞染色定位于單個細胞，且與陰性細胞相互交雜分布；而非特異性染色常不限于單個細胞，而是累及一片細胞。

5.切片邊緣、刀痕或褶皺區(qū)域，壞死或擠壓的細胞區(qū)，膠原結締組織等，常表現(xiàn)為相同的陽性染色強度，不能用于判斷陽性。
